NABU PC’s for sale again on eBay – 2023

For those of you who missed out on getting a NABU computer when they went on sale back in November 2022, we have good news!

Moments ago we got word from James the original eBay seller of the NABU computers he’s listed them again for sale via his eBay account and has the Global Shipping Program running for people outside the USA which means International Shipping.

Here is his current listing as of this blog post dated February 9, 2023:

If for some reason the NABU computer sales link above isn’t working anymore, check his eBay profile page for new listings.

Update: February 10, 2023 10:16 AM (PST) – The first batch of 100 NABU’s have sold out. Keep an eye on his listings as more will come once he ships out this batch.

NABU Pac-Man Easter Egg

Another awesome piece of NABU history has been dropped by Leo Binkowski on his YouTube channel. Check out Leo’s video:

From Leo’s video description: NABU Marketing wouldn’t let the Games Programmers put their names in the credits like other companies, so we found clever ways we could demonstrate that we were the authors of the games.”

Such a common thing with developers back in the day. Marketing could be such a drag. Leo showed them!

According to Leo this Pac-Man easter egg is revealed by eating a specific dot last on the strawberry board.

Leo Binkowski was 18 years old when he wrote this Pac-Man port for the NABU, and Laura Schening was just 17. Amazing!

The Unofficial History of NABU in DC

Did you know NABU did expand to two other countries outside of Canada back in the day? One being in Sowa, Japan; and the other being in Washington D.C. Well, sort of…

Alexandria, Virginia, a city right below Washington D.C. was the actual place. Tribune Cable, the company that ran cable for Alexandria, made a deal with NABU to offer the Network through their cable service.
